HOW WE OPERATE
At Quay Staff we are proud of the level of service we provide and always operate ethically with our clients and candidate’s best interests as our top priority.
We are a small team so your requests will be handled on a personal level by the same consultant. The company is privately owned with heavy investment in it’s success. The consultants who work for the company really care about the company’s success, so you will be greeted with a positive and proactive mindset.
We work on a quality over quantity ethos. We don’t send 10 CV’s as quickly as possible when we take on a new role, we only put forward quality, pre-screened candidates who meet the requirements for that particular role and we think are a great fit. We take the time to understand the candidates career aspirations, their previous experience / skill set and get a good understanding of their personality. We also extensively verbally reference check each candidate and send applications along with an extensive cover letter, with those references and much more information about each candidate than can be gleamed from just receiving a CV.
Candidates are always spoken to in detail about a position before their applications are sent to ensure they are available and interested in the role to avoid wasting the clients time. Our consultancy service is bespoke as we understand that no two requests, even for the same client are the same.
At Quay Staff, the placement of a candidate within an organisation or private residence is only the beginning. We don’t then forget about you. We stay in touch with both client and candidate to ensure the placement has worked out well for everyone. We are looking to build long term relationships which benefit everyone involved, and that first placement is just the start. We don’t try and just fill jobs, we are looking to supply a consultative service, so we are always open to having a conversation about the current market, salary levels or any other queries you may have.

EVENT MANAGEMENT POSITIONS
Every time guests step onto a superyacht it is an event. An event which involves managing staff, suppliers, budgets and the entire guest experience. Senior interior crew for example Pursers, Chief Stews and Head of Interior will have a wealth of experience of running events or various descriptions, often at very short notice. This could vary from a dinner party for 12 to an after party at Monaco Grand Prix for 200 guests with live entertainment. Their responsibilities can include ordering food and beverage, logistics and travel, liaising with shore-based suppliers for AVIT, decorations, floristry, glass ware and all the assorted extras! They would also be responsible for hiring temporary catering/ waiting staff and sometimes security all while managing the budget, negotiating with suppliers, sometimes whilst in the middle of nowhere with a poor phone signal!

PA/EA/ LIFESTYLE MANAGEMENT
Senior interior crew have a wealth of PA and Lifestyle Management experience looking after the every need of their UHNW owners and guests. As Chief Stew or Purser they will often be the main point of contact for the Owner or Charter guests onboard and leading up to the trip. Foremost you need to be an excellent people person who can be flexible, patient and not fazed by last minute, weird and wonderful requests. Responsibilities can vary hugely from securing last minute restaurant or ticket reservations to ordering thousands of flowers for a birthday the following day whilst sourcing a last minute present! More mundane tasks could include organising limousine transport from the airport to tracking down an obscure cushion. Obviously with this sort of role it goes without saying you need to be phenomenally organised, can do basic book keeping and are good with excel.
